Landscape Fabric
Landscape fabric is also known as geotextiles or weed barrier.
Benefits of landscape fabric are:
- Allows water, air, herbicides and insecticides to flow into the soil.
- Helps stop washout in heavy rains.
- Helps insulate root systems of plants from sudden temperature changes.
- Chemically inert, resists mildew, rotting and insects.
- Minimizes planting bed maintenance and helps maintain moisture in the soil.
- Looks and functions best when covered with your favorite mulch.
- Superior 3.5 oz. - Polyester - Spun Bonded construction gives you excellent fiber distribution resulting in the unique weed prevention capabilities and accounts for its exceptional strength to weight ratio.
- Commercial 3 oz. - Woven - A woven fabric that virtually blocks all light transmission while still allowing water and air to pass through making this an excellent landscape fabric.
- Restrictor 4.5 oz. - Woven -Restrictor is a woven needle punched fabric made of polypropylene with stripes every 12" for easy plant alignment. Restrictor allows the ideal amount of water, air and nutrients into the soil creating the perfect growing environment.
- Suppressor 3.5 oz. - This non-woven polypropylene fabric is one of the most versatile fabrics available. The SUPRESSOR offers excellent water and air permeability and conforms easily to the ground for quick installation.
- Ground Cover 3.2 oz. - Woven - Because the fabric lets the water and air naturally pass through to the root system, it stifles weeds without suppressing plant growth. Not only is bed maintenance minimized, ground cover helps reduce the spread of fungus and root rot by controlling water- without puddling. This fabric is tough enough to resist tears and punctures that could mortally wound other fabrics. It can even withstand the abuse of small truck traffic. Plus it's lightweight and easy to install.
- Synthetic Jute - A flexible open weave geotextile designed to hold seeds and soil in place until vegetation is established. The natural looking, high strength polypropylene mesh protects the soil surface from water and wind erosion while offering partial shade and heat storage to accelerate vegetative development allowing uninhibited growth of woody plant species, grass and groundcover.
- Straw Waddles - Various Sizes Available
In situations with long step slops or areas that have no or little natural obstacles to divert or slow down water flow or sediment run off. Straw waddles can be installed. A waddle consists of straw formed flex able tubes that are secured in place with wooden stakes. Designed to break up fast moving water flows and retain sediment from going places not so desired.
